About Us
When owner Carminha Simmons was 10 years old, she left her home on the Brazilian coast of Fortaleza to work as a nanny. In 1990 she moved to America and continued her work in Maryland. Years later, in 2005, she and her husband, Roddie Simmons, opened Aqui Brazilian Coffee in Germantown, Maryland.
